I also work part-time as a lawyer in the International Department for Criminal Matters at the Ministry of Justice, so I am constantly involved in practice, participating in the legislative process within the working groups of the Council of the EU (judicial cooperation in criminal matters), where in addition to legal matters, terminology and linguistic issues of EU acts are often addressed. 

I graduated at the Faculty of Law of the Charles University in Prague, my language education was completed with a Specialized State Language Exam for Translators in English and a final exam of a course organized by the Faculty of Law of the Charles University for translators of legal texts, which is a prerequisite for being appointed as a court translator. 

Besides the language, I thus also understand the substance of the legal texts, therefore I am able to ensure the maximum possible consistency between the original and target texts from the legal point of view.
